This Privacy Notice sets out how PRIVILEGE RENT A CAR LIMITED (the “Company”) processes data, whether on individuals (including personal data in respect of individuals who are clients, agents, intermediaries or other third parties that the Company interacts with, or any individual who is connected to those parties) or otherwise. Where the data held are on individuals, this document also sets out the rights of those individuals in respect of that personal data.
This Privacy Notice has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Who we are
Our Company started to operate in 1992. We are one of the most well established car hire companies on the island. Since this date we have been dedicated to building a fleet of vehicles which meets the demands of the modern day traveller whether they are in Cyprus for business or pleasure.

Your personal data
When you visit our offices in Limassol or our website or upon delivery of a car to you we may ask you to provide us with certain information in the context of providing our services to you and/or in order for us to be able to communicate with you about various offers or updates on our services and news about our Company. You are not obliged to provide us with such information, but if you choose not to, we will not be able to provide our services to you and/or you may miss out on special offers and certain services may not be available to you.
The Company processes data in the context of hiring a car to its clients. The categories of data it may collect and process, according to the particulars of each case and for each driver, include:
- Contact details (including title, names, postal addresses, email addresses, telephone number(s)).
- Passport numbers and family information appeared therein.
- Any sort of identification documents and family information appeared therein.
- Driving license.
- Financial information such as payment related information.
- Signature(s).
- Meetings attended and visits to our offices.
- Information on a person’s race, ethnic origin and other related information.
- Video, audio, photos.
- Any other information you may provide to the Company (including apart from personal information, technological and rental information).
How we use it
The Company takes your privacy seriously and we will only use your personal information in accordance with our Personal Data Protection Policy, in order to communicate with you about various offers or updates on our services and news about our Company and to improve the quality of our services. The Company does not collect or process more or less data than what is reasonably required for achieving the purposes for which were collected.
You are not obliged to supply such data, but if you do not, we will not be able to provide our services to you and/or keep in touch with you and keep you updated on various offers or updates on our services and news about our Company and as such these may not be made available to you.
The purposes for which we collect your personal information are as follows:-
- In the context of hiring a car to you as a customer.
- To comply with a legal obligation to which we may be subject.
- To keep you updated about various offers or updates on our services and news about our Company.
- To receive feedback and follow up on any comments, enquiries and complaints you may have and to resolve any disputes and problems which may have arisen with respect to the use of our services.
- To obtain feedback from you that will help us to promote, improve and/or further the provision of our services.
- To enable us to perform our duties and obligations towards you.
- For marketing purposes.
- Any other purpose(s) which has been agreed by or notified to you.
Your personal data are safely stored in our offices in Limassol. No third party may have access to your data, unless required by law. Your personal data will only be accessed by the employees of the Company who are trained to handle personal data promptly and in accordance with the laws. The employees are authorized to access your data under a duty of confidentiality and only for the purposes stated above. The Company strives to protect your personal data by applying high standards of conduct and professionalism for any privacy related matters.
Retention of data
The Company retains personal data for a period of 6 years in accordance with its Data Retention Policy. After this period, your personal data will be destroyed, unless destruction is prohibited for legal, regulatory or technical reasons.
Any personal data held by us for marketing and service update notifications will be kept by us until such time that you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Use of personal Data in Legal Proceedings
If it becomes necessary that the Company has to take action against you for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to recovering from you any money you owe to the Company, you expressly agree that the personal data provided by you can be relied upon in identifying and taking legal action against you.
Changes to this Privacy Notice
The Company keeps this Privacy Notice under review in order to ensure that it is in line with any changes to the laws relating to privacy and personal data. Any updates will appear on the Company’s website at www.privilegerentacar.com.
Your rights
All enquiries in respect of this Privacy Notice or any requests to exercise any of the rights set out above should be sent via email at info@privilegerentacar.com or by post to our offices in Limassol. We will then look at your request or complaint and work with you to resolve the matter.
You may at any time request to see the information you provided and have the ability to rectify it (in case you believe that the information we hold is incomplete or incorrect) or have it deleted by contacting us at info@privilegerentacar.com.
